Katie-ism

Katie: "Mommy...please don't be sad but I didn't care for the supper you made tonight."

Me: (Thinking...what do you say to that???)

Katie: "Can I have dessert now?"

2 in 1 superhero cape

Made another superhero cape--superman on one side and batman on the other. This time tried out some cool shiny red material to see how it did. It was a little more difficult to work with, but Katie thought that it was fun...now I need to find a home for it....

Mom and Dad's surprise party

Sadly, we were so busy that we didn't have a picture of Mom and Dad at the party AT ALL! So if you have one, please send it to me!

We had so much fun--Mom and Dad were surprised, so many friends and relatives made it. Even Uncle Barry and my cousin Jess from SC made it up with Lindsay's little girl Kyli! We were so excited to see them and Katie and Maggie had fun with Kyli. Jess...you will have to send me pictures that you took of the girls together...this is all we have! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa, Doug, and Aunt Glenda--we could have never pulled off the party without you all!

Sunday we continued out to Pittsburgh to visit the Hooks and had St. Patty's Day supper at Joe and Layla's new house. Making it back home at midnight, we were tired but had a great weekend.

First day at the park 2009

We were so excited to go to the park, but it was really still too cold to be there long. I think we made it 15 minutes-25 minutes. This is at Rapho Township park...it has a lot of cool stuff there along with baseball fields, walking paths, and now they are putting in restrooms!

Crochet fun: church purse

Thought I would post a picture since I mentioned earlier that I made a cradle purse. I think that I may have to find a smaller baby for it, because it is a bit bumpy when all closed up. Not bad for going without a pattern! Maybe next try will be better...

(In case you didn't know, it looks like a purse but you flip the top down to make a skirt around the doll's bed. I got one as a girl from a lady at church.)
